APPLE STAFF AND CROWN OF DESIRE
Arms; the crucifix represents power; the gold represents property, the king represents the superior social status. Every one would have a crown like this in their mind, once they pursue this endless desire, they may bare enormous pressure.
These four hands correspond to the hands of four men, merchants, knights, kings and churches. I painted the details of the four hands with colored lead.
For example, when I drew the church's hand, I drew a cross on it to represent it. This highlights four different identities. I imagine that the handle of this cane is made of metal. The vine sits on top of the handle.
